Workshop on Photoshop

The Dept of CSE&IT organized a workshop on Photoshop conducted by the Society Visualive on 13 September 2017. The workshop was conducted by Mr Vishal Kanwar and Mr Pankaj Yadav to help students learn about the basics of Photoshop and graphic designing. 44 students participated in the workshop which was coordinated by Dr Shilpa Mahajan.

 

Workshop on Virtual Labs

Expert Team from IIT Delhi conducted a one day workshop on Virtual Labs and Practices for BTech 1st Year students, Depts of EECE, CSE&IT, ME and CEE on 8 September 2017. 219 students attended the sessions. The experts explained about the Virtual Labs Project which is an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource & Development under the Mission of ICT, GOI. In the workshop, Physical Science- Newton’s Ring, Angle of Prism using Spectrometer, Newton’s Law of Cooling, Projectile Motion; Chemical Science-ACID Base Titration, Preparation of Solutions; CSE - Computer Programming, Data Structures, Problem Solving, Image Processing; ECE-Virtual Electric Circuits Labs, Kirchoffs Laws, Sampling Theorem, Basic Electronics; Civil-Soil Mechanics, Surveying Lab, Strength of Materials, Metal Forming Lab., Fab. Lab, General Purpose Production, Vibration and Acoustic Lab, etc. labs were demonstrated to the students and faculty of NCU. 

Workshop on Positive Psychology

A workshop on Positive Psychology and Permanent Well-being was conducted by MsSrividyaRajaram on 10 September 2016 at the University. The objective of the workshop was to document the role of judgement, perception and other related processes in our lives and to spread the awareness that these processes are the filter through which we look at the world, people, emotions, our environment and everything. The workshop was very informative, enlightening and interactive in nature with practical applications.It attempted to engage the audience through the use of audio-visuals to learn about psychology of perception and judgement, how these affect our decision making,how these are reflected in larger issues like politics, religion, gender etc. and how to work on these processes. Around 100 participants benefited from the workshop who learnt the practical tools of judgement and perception and how these can be honed and sharpened so as to become more equipped in handling our day-to-day issues. The workshop was organized and coordinated by Ms Nikita Kapoor,Psychologist-cum-Counsellor,NCU.
