University organizes Mini Marathon in association with Brahmakuamris and Haryana Police


The University organized Mini Marathon on 5 March 2016, in association with Brahmakumaris and Haryana Police.  The marathon was organized in line with ‘Sashakt Neev’, a campaign run jointly by Brahmakumaris and Haryana Police, for women empowerment and gender equality. About 400 participants joined the marathon, including students, faculty and staff of the University along with family and friends and members of Brahmakumaris family. The occasion was graced by the presence of Prof. Prem Vrat, Pro-Chancellor NCU, Sister Asha and Sister Urmil from Brahmakumaris, Mr Alok Mittal, IG-NIA, and Mr TL Satyaprakash, DC Gurgaon.

The sprinters ran for 5.5 KM with a social cause and message for all to remain healthy and fit. The highlight of the event illustrated the desire of the institutions involved to express its support for women empowerment and gender equality. The runners were provided with Certificates of Participation and refreshments after the marathon. Mr Chetana Oly (Rotary Public School), Mr Jagdeep Dhull (Dronacharya School) and Mr Shravan Rathore (BBA, NCU) were winners in the males category, while Ms Jyoti Gulati (Brahmakumaris), Ms Indu Badgujar (COR, NCU) and Ms Mamta Rohilla (SOM, NCU) were winners in the females category. The students, faculty and staff of NCU participated with full enthusiasm and ‘josh’.
