Inauguration of NCU’s OSA Student Chapter

THE NORTHCAP UNIVERSITY’s OSA Student Chapter laid its foundation and celebrated

its inauguration through a ceremony on 4 March 2016. The event witnessed the presence of OSA NCU Student Chapter fraternity led by Prof. Kehar Singh, a prominent OSA Fellow. The ceremony marked its beginning with the traditional lamp lighting by the Guest of Honour, Prof. Singh followed by a brief presentation on the emergence, evolution and objectives of the Optical Society, as well as NCU’s OSA Student Chapter.  

Prof. Kehar Singh addressed the gathering and talked about the importance of optics in contemporary technologies. The winners of the recently held Science Quiz Competition were given tokens of appreciation by the Chief Guest. The ceremony concluded with Prof. Kehar Singh wishing success for all the students and faculty associated with OSA and a vote of thanks by OSA’s President. Dr Hukum Singh, Dept of Applied Sciences is the OSA-Chapter Advisor.
