Enactus ITMU shows pottery skills at Raahgiri

Enactus ITMU organized a pottery workshop under ‘Project Kumhaar’ at Raahgiri on 28 June 2015, to promote pottery as well as to reconnect pottery with people and make them understand how it is a perfect combination of learning with fun. Enactus ITMU received Rs. 20,000 as a grant to complete their project ‘Kumhaar’ under Walmart Women’s Economic Empowerment project partnership. The aim of the project is to employ the conventional potters as teachers of pottery in various schools of Delhi NCR, to revive the dying art this is a cultural heritage by passing it to the next generation, and introduce new products, to bridge the gap between the consumers and producers, hence empowering the Kumhaar community. The student project leader for the event was Ayush Gautam and faculty coordinators were Dr Dipti Vaya and Ms Sagarika Goswami.
