An Open Lecture Series was organised at ITMUniversity, Gurgaon on 27th April 2015. The objective of this
lecture series is to concentrate on forming an interactive group in the specific
areas of research between llT Delhi and
ITM University ,Gurgaon .This series has been started by forming an
interactive group in Physics where we had
two Distinguished Faculty from llT Delhi and two of our senior Faculty
members. This is a step in the direction of initiating collaborative research
between llT Delhi and ITM University, Gurgaon.
In the First Session we had an expert talk by
Prof. Kehar Singh, Distinguished
Research Professor, ITM University, Gurgaon on “Optical Cryptography:
Origin, Development & Beyond” followed by “History of Semi-Conductor Devices” by Prof. Vikram Kumar ,Emeritus Professor, Department of Physics, IIT
Delhi. In the post lunch Session Prof. K L Chopra, Distinguished
Research Professor, ITM University, Gurgaon spoke on “Ethical Issues in Science & Technology” followed by an
enlightening talk on “Quantum Photonics”
by Prof. K.Thyagarajan, HOD (Department of Physics), IIT Delhi. The lecture series was attended by a large number of
students from various disciplines (B.Tech ,M.Tech VLSI,ECE & CSE ) and
faculty of EECE and APS Department ITM University, Gurgaon .The lectures fascinating
interesting , thought provoking and enthusiastic and appreciated by
all participants.
