A Code Optimizer event was
held on 16th April 2015 by Google Students' Club, ITMU . This event
required the participants to convert a problem statement to a working code
using any language of their choice. The event was organized in collaboration
with DKOP Labs, Noida. The event was attended by around forty-three students.
The event was conducted by GSC member Siddharth
Ahuja and supervised by the Google Students' Ambassador Palash Chhabra. Faculty co-ordinators Ms. Jyotika Pruthi, Ms.
Rita Chhikara and Ms. Neha Sahu were also present. The objective of this
technical event was to give a platform to students who excel at technical and
coding skills to provide them with real time professional experience while
working on a project/assignment.
Students with the correct
solution and shortest running time of the code on the same machine were awarded
with BookMyshow vouchers, a certificate and an opportunity to work on a live
project. The students actively participated in the competition and had a great
time while putting their coding skills to test. The event emphasized on the
importance of developing code that is time efficient and reliable.
