Guest Lecture on Machine Learning

A guest lecture was conducted by Dr Sankalp Kallakuri, Technical Lead, Mando Softtech India on the topic ‘Machine Learning techniques and its application in Self-Driving cars’ for BTech CSE 3rd Year students on 11 April 2017. The focus of the lecture was on various types of Machine Learning algorithms. Dr Sankalp explained the concept of supervised and unsupervised algorithms for categorical and continuous domains. He also explained how these algorithms are used in self-driving cars, the current and future trends in this area and the companies that are actually working in this field. It was an interactive session and the speaker appreciated the students’ response to his follow up questions. 

Dr Sankalp Kallakuri is PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering, Stony Brook University, New York, USA where he has also worked as an Adjunct Faculty.
