On 14th April, EECE Department organized a guest lecture by Mr Rajesh Gupta in room 211 for the students of 6th semester. The lecture was on small cells and their significance in 4G and LTE. Mr Rajesh Gupta works with Qualcomm Technologies Incorporated – California, USA in the Engineering Service Group and Research & Development group of Qualcomm. His main role is to provide business and technology services to the operators and OEMs, teach technology to the internal/external customers and research on upcoming technology areas.
He has completed his Master of Science (Telecommunications) from University of Maryland –College Park, USA in May 2012. He was also recognized with a scholarship in intend to the excellent academic performance through the completion of his degree in 2012. He has obtained his Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications from Institute of Technology and Management, now NCU – Gurgaon, India in 2010.
He is an expert in the area of wireless technology (LTE Advanced, Internet of Things, Small Cells, Smart Cities and Wi-Fi). His passion is to learn more on Wireless Technology and Innovation, and Data Science. Also, he has written couple of technical papers and received number of prizes and honors in his career.
The guest lecture was coordinated by Ms Anita Sharma and Ms Nidhi Sharma. The students showed keen interest in the lecture and interacted a lot with the expert. He also gave students tips about how to prepare for competitive exams for studying abroad, what to prepare and job opportunities in the US.
