ITMUniversity, Gurgaon is recognised as much for its illustrious sporting traditious as it is for its excellence in education, learning and research. Students not only excel in academics but also perform admirably well in all sports activities both at the University and state level. Sports activities in the University are well managed by a team of competent sports professionals. The facilities available for sports are very good, and the students enjoy spending their free time playing games. The fields are always full, buzzing with activities, but the passion for Cricket is the greatest. The spectacle of cricket is at its best, when played under lights at night in coloured clothing at the ITM University sports field, which has one of the best facility for night cricket.

The sports calendar of the University, is planned well in advance, with ten sports identified in the beginning of the year and are fiercely competed amongst all Departments and Schools, in the true spirit of sportsmanship. Last year Department of EECE of the School of Engineering & Technology emerged as the Sports Champion, beating the Department of Mechanical Engineering though by a small margin.
