Guest Lecture By Prof. Kannan Govindan, University Of Southern Denmark

Department of Mechanical Engineering, ITM University, Gurgaon, held a gathering of promising researchers, faculty members and students from engineering and management disciplines on 30th March 2015 for a lecture on ‘Supply Chain Optimization using Genetic Algorithm and other Advanced Metaheuristics’, delivered by Prof. Kannan Govindan, University of Southern Denmark. In his lecture the Professor explained about the Supply chain management framework and discussed the application of optimization techniques in real time supply chain problems, followed by the theory behind Genetic Algorithms, all in a very interactive manner. The session ended with an animated question answering session from faculty and students.

ABHIMANCH THEATRE SOCIETY STAGES PLAY ‘BECHARA MARA GAYA’ AT ITM UNIVERSITY, GURGAON

Abhimanch Theatre Society of ITM University Gurgaon presented a play ''Bechara Mara Gaya" adapted from the Original play "Accidental Death of an Anarchist" by Dario Fo on Saturday 28 March 2015 at the University Auditorium to a packed audience. Open to the public the performance received a thunderous applause from a very appreciative audience.

The story enacted a sequence of events after a bomb blast takes place on the Amravati Express. As the subsequent riots ravage the town, the police arrest a potential suspect of the blast. However, news arrives that the convict has committed suicide during interrogation. What followed is a breathtaking hilarious performance by seven young artists, playing the part of various characters of police, a judge and a reporter most professionally. Akash Tyagi and Nikhil Malhotra stood out in their brilliant performance. Great going Abhimanch-keep coming up with more such performances in the future.
