Walk the Talk


It is said that no teacher is a good teacher until he has a good student. Therefore, it goes without saying that our faculty has been inculcating the required skills in young minds of our students to raise the banner of ITM University, Gurgaon high.

Mr Anmol Raheja, BTech (IT) 2015 batch has got an offer from an esteemed hiring partner of our University, Gemini Solutions.  Anmol was excited to receive the offer with immediate joining date and expresses his gratitude in following words:

“I am feeling very glad for my placement with Gemini Solutions. I want to thank ITMU and its Placement Department for always helping and supporting me without which I couldn't have achieved this milestone.”

One day Conference on “Emerging Trends in Mechanical & Industrial Engineering (ICETMIE-2015)”

A one day conference on ‘Emerging Trends in Mechanical & Industrial Engineering (ICETMIE-2015)’ was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, ITM University, Gurgaon, on July 18, 2015. The conference successfully hosted a large gathering of researchers, academicians and industry representatives from different parts of India. It witnessed a confluence of experts from the diverse areas of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering. The objective of this conference was to provide a platform for academicians and practitioners to explore the emergent technologies in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering and to disseminate their important work.  
In total, 97 full length papers were received from across India. After a peer-review process, 67 research papers were accepted for publications. Forty research papers were presented in the conference. About a fifth of the research papers were received from premier institutions, including IIT’s and NIT’s. 

The keynote address was given by Prof. Prem Vrat who sensitized the audience towards pursuing research which are multi-disciplinary in nature and are meant for a social cause. Chief Guest, Mr. Sudam Maitra put forward the automobile industry perspective on the importance of focused research on issues which can solve problems relevant to industry. He also shared some valuable inputs from his vast experience in the industry.

Technical sessions were held with two invited talks from Dr. C.R. Prasad and Prof. L.M. Das. Dr. C.R. Prasad addressed the audience on ‘Energy and Environment’ while Prof. LM Das spoke on ‘Hydrogen engine: Emerging technology towards a sustainable environment’. Both the talks were informative and were appreciated by the audience. The conference ended with a valedictory session, which was chaired by Prof. Prem Vrat and Dr. C.R. Prasad, who distributed certificates to the participants of the conference. The conference concluded after a vote of thanks given by the Director-SOET, Prof. Ravindra Ojha.

The conference was supported by M/s Inter-Alliance Werardt Pvt. Ltd.  and M/s. Dragonfly Education Pvt. Ltd.  American Society for Quality (ASQ) served as the knowledge partner of the conference. International Journal of Advances in Applied Engineering Research (IJAER) and International Journal of Advances in Operations Management (IJAOM) were the publishing partners of the conference.

The event was successfuly  conducted due to efforts of core team of the conference, which comprised of Conference Convener: Dr. K. Mathiyazhagan, Conference Secretaries: Mr. Lalit Upadhayay & Dr. Feras Hakkak, Joint Secretaries- Dr. Ritwik Basu and Mr. Deevesh Sharma and faculty members and technical staff of Mechanical Engineering Department.
