INTERNSHIPS AT ITMU

It is seen that students who have been exposed to relevant industries through internships have an edge over others, at the time of placements. ITM University has made internship a compulsory part of the curriculum in all Schools of Engineering, Management and Law. In addition to attaining practical exposure to complement classroom training, internship enables students to get high quality placements, after graduating with several benefits:-

·         Real time exposure

·         Skills acquisition

·         Extra Money

·         Culture adoption

·         Navigating career path

·         Pre placement offers

The summer internship mechanism has been developed by our lead management team to provide structured exposure to industrial processes to every student of the University. The joint efforts of the faculties and the School of Professional Attachment are making the process successful. The scope of industry interaction is being expanded to improve the quality as well as monitoring of internships with defined outcomes. With this end in view, faculty teams of each Department have been given additional responsibilities to guide and help students in internships. They are responsible for a specific number of students and guide and counsel them along with the School of Professional Attachment.

The list of companies that our students are interning with, can be viewed on the SPA portal at link http://spa.itmindia.edu. Some of these are:-

Deloitte, TCS, Power Grid, Infolona, Newgen, Orkash, Ey, EIL, Jabong, IDBI Bank and many more.

The fact that students are being benefited by this scheme is voiced in one of the student mails reproduced below:

Dear Sir/Madam

I thank our university's administration, our HOD Dr. Latika Singh and other faculties for helping us to find an internship for summer so easily.

Most of the students from our batch as well as from other batches got internship through college links and efforts. This is a very good step taken by the university. This must be put in focus of other people and students because such a good facility is only available in our university and is being appreciated by my friends from other universities and their family members.

We can put the list of students placed for internship on SPA portal, Facebook page and website. This will help our juniors and upcoming freshers to know about this facility.

Regards,
