Guest Lecture On International Humanitarian Law


On 18th March, 2015, Dr. Anuradha Sai Baba, Legal Advisor, International Committee of the Red Cross, Regional Delegation, delivered a special lecture on ‘International Humanitarian Law’ at the School of Law, ITMUniversity, Gurgaon. Dr. Anuradha Sai Baba worked as a lecturer in Law at National Law School of India University, Bangalore for 8 years and was also a Fellow at The Hague Academy of International Law and Asian law Institute, National University of Singapore. She enlightened the students by reflecting on the intricacies of the International Humanitarian Law and also its relationship with the present day International Human Rights Law and what makes it a different yet important branch of law. She discussed the significance of various terminologies such as law of war, armed conflicts etc. used in the international arena. She also referred to the recent humanitarian wars and their significance and inspired all students studying international law to work towards building international peace and harmony.
